Banning of Tamil national anthem in Sri Lanka is alleged to be on the cards.Is it a wise move or a vice move?

Of course the decision is of Sri Lankans.Now it is said that there should be only one National Anthem and so Tamil National Anthem is scrapped.Why it was not felt so far? It will definitely hurt the feelings of Tamils there.It is not a wise move.
