My baby daddy wants to steal my daughter?

Our relationship is over, but he refuses to pay child support. So his next move is to take my baby daughter away from me claiming that I mistreat her and don't make enough money to support her. He has even called the cops to go to my house to supposedly check on my daughter to make sure I'm not abusing her. All this allegations are obviously not true, he's just trying to take advantage since I don't have the money to pay for my own lawyer/attorney to fight this case. What should I do? Please help anyone...
