Is it ist/anti-feminist if .............. interesting question!?

My school's mascot is the Red Hawk,whenever we announce the scores of a previous game or just refer to any boy's team, we call them the "Red Hawks" .. yet, whenever we do the same for a girl's team, we refer to them as "Lady Red Hawks". There is a debate going on in my cl about this.. does this contribute to society's eventual discrepency between males and females? why not call the guys' teams "Gentlemen Red Hawks" and the ladies "Red Hawks" ?
